Whispers of the Earth
In Whispers of the Earth, Lucian Roman approaches the landscape as a place of listening. Trees become protagonists—solitary forms emerging from mist, skeletal trunks standing as witnesses, roots exposed like memory, and branches drawn across the sky like handwriting. The images move between intimate vantage points and wide, open fields, creating a rhythm of closeness and distance that mirrors how we experience nature: first as detail, then as vastness.
Black-and-white photographs hold the series’ stillness, emphasising texture, structure, and time—fog turning space into silence. Select colour works introduce a softer emotional temperature: teal skies and amber light that feel like breath, dusk, and returning warmth. Across the series, the landscape is rendered as something enduring yet fragile—quiet, resilient, and profoundly present.
For collectors, these works sit comfortably in modern interiors and calm spaces. They offer atmosphere without noise: images that invite reflection, reward long viewing, and carry the grounded energy of the natural world.
