London’s Ethereal Silhouettes — Afterimages of the City
London’s Ethereal Silhouettes reimagines the city through motion and abstraction, translating familiar sites into luminous afterimages. Streaks of light and softened bands of colour dissolve architecture into atmosphere—Canary Wharf becomes a fractured reflection, the O2 a spectral form held above the waterline, Tower Bridge a ghost of structure and rhythm.
Rather than describing London, the series distils its tempo: the river reads as a quiet horizon, while vertical traces suggest the city’s constant acceleration—commute, traffic, neon, and glass. At night, highway lights pulse like veins across the frame; at dawn, the palette loosens into brushed, pastel calm—brief intervals of stillness between waves of movement.
This collection is less a record of place than a study of perception: London rendered as memory, energy, and light—unmistakable even as it slips out of focus.
