Ephemeral Echoes
In Ephemeral Echoes, Lucian Roman explores the fleeting nature of human presence within the urban environment. The series captures figures in motion—blurred, silhouetted, or reflected—reduced to transient forms that linger briefly before dissolving back into the city.
Shadows stretch across polished floors, bodies fragment through glass and architecture, and movement becomes the primary subject. Individuals appear less as distinct identities and more as traces—echoes of passage shaped by light, rhythm, and time. The city is rendered as a space of continual transition, where presence is momentary and perception unstable.
Rather than freezing decisive moments, Roman embraces impermanence. The images function as visual afterimages, suggesting that urban life is experienced not through permanence, but through accumulation and disappearance. Ephemeral Echoes invites the viewer to reflect on the quiet poetry of passing moments and the subtle imprints left behind by everyday movement.
