In The Fractal Series, Lucian Roman re-sees architecture as a language of recurrence. Photographing structural details—wire grids, cable-stays, ceiling ribs, tiled surfaces—he then folds the image along an axis, creating bilateral symmetries that echo fractal logic: pattern generating pattern, order multiplying into new form.

What begins as documentation becomes transformation. Lines turn into wings, portals, and vaulted chambers; sky blues and warm sands read like atmosphere inside a diagram. The work balances control and illusion: crisp geometry holds the frame while subtle photographic traces—texture, haze, light gradients—retain the physical world beneath the abstraction.

Presented as individual prints or as paired works, the series invites close, slow looking. It speaks to collectors drawn to minimalism, architectural photography, and contemporary abstraction—images that feel simultaneously engineered and dreamlike.
